Type of Membership & Requirements
Affliate Member
Provides financial services or related education programs (e.g., bankers, accountants, trainers).
Engaged in life insurance or financial services for over 12 months.
Non-residents not eligible to vote or hold office in National Council.
Involved in life insurance marketing, including fee-based financial service providers recommending life insurance.
Cannot voice or hold office in the National Council but can participate in association activities.
Automatically upgraded to ordinary member status after one year.
Provisional Member
Involved in life insurance marketing for at least one year.
Ordinary Member
Minimum 10 years in life insurance business.
Associate member for at least 3 years.
Holds FCLP designation or equivalent recognized by National Council.
Minimum 6 years of service in branch or national council activities, maintaining association reputation.
Significant contributions to association or life insurance industry.
National Council discretion in approving applications; no reasons required.
Designation privilege: NAMLIFA after their names.
Fellow Member
Minimum 3 years in life insurance marketing and financial services.
Ordinary membership for at least 12 months.
Holds CLPM or higher designation recognized by National Council.
Associate members can use the designation "Associate NAMLIFA" after their name.
Associate Member
Maintain ordinary, associate, or Fellow membership and financial status for 5 consecutive years.
Election by the National Council, subject to discretion and RM3000 payment.
Must comply with conditions set by the National Council.
Ceased life insurance agents or financial service providers won't have voting rights or hold office.
Life Member
Life Member Benefit
